ADVANCED VEHICLE
DIAGNOSTICS.
Advanced mobile automotive diagnostics for difficult electrical faults, communication failures, and drivability problems. We come to your vehicle or shop, test the system, and pursue the root cause—not a parts-swapping shortcut.
Diagnosis is a process.
Not a guessing game.
Every test should answer a question. Every measurement should narrow the possibilities. Every recommendation should be supported by evidence.
Define the problem.
Review symptoms, operating conditions, fault history, and previous repairs to build a focused hypothesis.
Test the hypothesis.
Use circuit measurements, waveform analysis, and system testing to isolate the failure—not just its symptoms.
Explain the evidence.
Communicate what the testing established, what remains uncertain, and the most appropriate next step.
When the fault is difficult,
the testing gets deeper.
For independent shops, fleet operators, and vehicle owners who need specialized troubleshooting rather than routine maintenance.
Electrical & Wiring Faults
Voltage-drop testing, shorts, opens, intermittent connections, power distribution, and parasitic current draws.
Network Communication
CAN communication issues, module wake-up faults, bus integrity, and no-communication concerns.
Drivability & Engine Controls
Sensor plausibility, actuator behavior, fuel-trim concerns, and hard-to-isolate performance faults.
Repeat & Difficult Failures
Vehicles with unresolved symptoms, repeated parts replacement, and problems requiring a deeper diagnostic strategy.
Know the rate.
Approve the next step.
Diagnostic work is scoped and reviewed with you before deeper testing begins. The diagnostic rate depends on the vehicle platform and complexity of the concern.
Dispatch & Review
Mobile travel assignment and an initial 15-minute operational network hookup evaluation.
- Initial code-path review and baseline assessment
- Deeper pinpoint testing requires explicit authorization
Asian & Domestic
Advanced electrical and system-level pinpoint testing.
- Wiring, parasitic draw, and network faults
- Drivability, sensor logic, and power distribution
European, EV & Hybrid
Complex European configurations and electrified vehicle diagnostic systems.
- Specialized system access and network layouts
- High-voltage related diagnostic work when applicable
Dealership Escalation
Advanced troubleshooting for exceptionally difficult or previously unresolved cases.
- Repeat component failures and persistent faults
- Severe wiring and network integrity problems
Remote Consultation
Focused consultation by phone or secure email.
- Review scan data, scope captures, or schematics
- One distinct vehicle concern per session
Tell us what’s happening.
Share the year, make, model, symptoms, and any testing already completed. We’ll review your request and discuss an appropriate starting point.
Testing beyond the initial mobile preliminary review is discussed and authorized before additional diagnostic labor is billed. You stay informed about the scope and rate.
Before you book.
Does the $100 dispatch fee include a full diagnosis?
No. It covers mobile dispatch and an initial 15-minute operational network hookup evaluation. Any deeper testing is reviewed and authorized separately at the applicable diagnostic rate.
Do you repair the vehicle after diagnosing it?
Method Mechanic focuses on identifying faults and providing diagnostic findings. Your preferred repair shop or technician can use those findings to plan and perform the repair.
What if the problem is intermittent?
Intermittent concerns may not occur during the appointment. Findings reflect the conditions present during testing, and additional testing may be recommended if the fault cannot be reproduced.
Can you help my repair shop with a difficult vehicle?
Yes. We support independent shops, fleets, and technicians who need focused troubleshooting, data interpretation, or escalation support. Remote consultations are also available.
How do I schedule a diagnostic appointment?
Submit a diagnostic service request with your vehicle information and symptoms. We will review the concern, confirm the appropriate service scope and discuss appointment availability, including evening and Saturday options when available.
Get beyond the trouble code.
Find the actual fault.
Tell us about your vehicle and the problem you’re facing. Include any fault codes, previous repairs, or testing results so we can understand the concern before scheduling.
