Review your report
Get documented inspection findings to help you understand potential repair needs before purchasing.
A $185 inspection can uncover expensive surprises.
Leaks, worn brakes, transmission concerns, and hidden diagnostic faults can change the real cost of a used vehicle. Finding issues before purchase gives you information to make a decision, request repairs, or negotiate.
Good questions before you book.
Do you inspect the car at the seller’s location?
Yes. Method Mechanic offers mobile inspections at an agreed-upon location, subject to service-area coverage, access, and the seller’s permission. Travel outside standard service boundaries may require a separate quote.
How do I book?
Submit a service request with the vehicle’s year, make, model, location, and your preferred time. We’ll contact you to confirm the appointment. Sending a request does not reserve a time slot.
Will I receive photos and a report?
Yes. The inspection includes a customer-facing digital report with condition findings, technician observations, and photographs or measurements where applicable.
Does the inspection guarantee the vehicle has no problems?
No. An inspection identifies observable conditions at the time of testing. It is not a warranty or guarantee of future performance, and it does not include teardown or inspection of every hidden component.
What if you find an issue that needs further diagnosis?
We can discuss additional diagnostic work and pricing separately. Any expanded testing requires your approval and is subject to availability.
Know what you’re getting into.
Request your $185 mobile pre-purchase inspection. Include the vehicle details, its location, and a preferred time in the message so we can review your request.
Pre-purchase inspections consist of visual, functional, and available electronic evaluations of accessible vehicle systems. Results depend on vehicle condition, system accessibility, and permission to perform testing or road testing. No disassembly, comprehensive hidden-component inspection, guaranteed fault detection, or future-reliability warranty is included. Additional diagnostics require separate approval. Standard-service-area travel is included; extended travel may be quoted separately.
